SINGLE-HANDED SAILING is both challenging and rewarding, and best learned by operating small craft like this tiny dinghy. Navigation through wind and waves using only a sail, daggerboard, rudder, and a desire to "prove oneself" suits a person who favours the solitary life and is willing to meet a challenge.

I admire these sailors for their dedication, spirit, and strength of character.  However, it doesn't hurt to bring a companion along for the voyage -- especially when it's the family dog!
