When the weather forcast predicts sunshine and gentle winds, we usually anticipate a "picture perfect" day for sailing. Not long ago we spent such a day enjoying the bay breezes -- in fact, so much that we returned to the harbor long after sunset. As much enjoyment we had during the day's outing, the twilight beauty was even more striking. When we returned past Oakland's Jack London Square that evening, I was blown away by the waterfront scene. The lighted buildings were stunningly reflected in the rippling harbor waters and the skyline was transformed into a magical scene. What a wonderful end to a great sailing day!
